Welcome System

Build Registry

  • Register builds in Discord and see them in-game with /registry — browse all registered builds in a GUI
  • Proximity warning when mining or using TNT near a registered build you don't own
  • Discord registration request flow with staff approval

Discord Linking

  • Link your Discord account to your Minecraft account with /link in Discord + /verify in-game
  • DiscordSRV sync integration

Combat & PvP

  • Grace period system (/grace) — 3-hour server-wide PvP disable with boss bar countdown
  • Friend system (/friend, /friendlist, /unfriend) — friends are exempt from combat tagging
  • 30-second spawn protection after respawn (cancelled by attacking or teleporting)
  • Phantoms no longer spawn in the overworld

Economy

  • Auction House price cap set to 100 PIX with 5% listing fee + 5% buyer tax
  • Alt accounts blocked from using the Auction House

  • Chat emojis — 80+ emoji shortcuts (e.g., :skull:, :fire:)
  • Mute system (/mute, /unmute) with timed and permanent options

Introducing the Hardcore Event system and a revamped homes and teleportation experience.

Hardcore Events

  • Full hardcore event system — death eliminates you to spectator mode
  • Kill stealing: killing a player transfers all their accumulated kills to you (+1 for the kill itself)
  • Hardcore leaderboard (/hardcore lb) with top 10 players by kills
  • Winner determination based on kills + minimum playtime threshold
  • Eliminated spectators cannot no-clip through walls
  • Lightning strike + wither death sound on elimination, with remaining player count broadcast
  • Low-health warning system with "CRITICAL" title + sound
  • Admin tools: /hardcore start|stop, /hardcore credit, /revive, /hardcore eliminate
  • Countdown timer placeholder for TAB integration (border shrink)

Homes & Teleportation

  • /back — return to your last teleport location
  • /tpahere — request a player to teleport to you
  • /edithome and /relocatehome for managing homes

A combat-centered update focusing on crystal PvP balance. We want cPvP to remain a viable playstyle while nerfing first-strike advantage.

Crystal PvP Changes

  • Crystals and anchors now stack to 4 (makes cPvPers more drainable)
  • Crystals and anchors only damage players currently "in combat" with the attacker (nerfs first-strike advantage)
  • Crystals and anchors no longer damage the environment, only entities (keeps the world pretty, disables anchor-crystaling)

End Dimension

  • End reset: everything beyond 5k blocks (Nullscape) has been reset
  • From 5k–25k blocks, the End is now vanilla generation
  • New worldborder set at 50k diameter (25k in each direction)
  • Custom End fight event held on Sunday after spawn event

Other Changes

  • Homes and TPAs updated to an in-house solution
  • Permission issues with homes/TPAs resolved
  • All trial chambers within 1000 blocks of spawn have been fixed

HSREALM officially launched into beta! After months of development starting in mid-January 2025, the server opened its doors to players for the first time.

Initial Features

Some of the first schools to join were Davidson Online, Stanford OHS, and a collection of Cyprus schools. Schools originally had their own spawns!
